History....How it all Began

Curran-Mooney Reunions are becoming historic events.  These special get-togethers have given so much to so many.  And so many have given so much of their time, their energy, and their enthusiasm to make them happen.

It is impossible to identify the many movers and shakers who have made these dreams become reality, but our hats are off to a special few, without whom there would have been no reunions.

Reunions 1985-2000
Fr. St. Clair Monaghan was persistent in searching, researching, and eliciting as much information as he could on the Curran-Mooney genealogy.  This family tree information lit the spark for Bob and Adele Walsh, who took the initial plunge in organizing the first one-day reunion in 1985. That reunion ignited Tom and Debbie Curran, and Brendan and Kathy Curran into working on a week-end event for five years later. The embers remained glowing, but they burst into flames for more reunions of 1995 and 2000. More people became excited and involved in the planning, the doing, the celebrating, and the remembering.  As the torch was received, it will be passed to the next generations. May it continue to light this family.
